It’s been a while since we shared a blog… Indeed, but we haven’t forgotten about you. We were just busy working on our next collection scheduled to enter our store in the coming weeks. Our designers and tailors are crafting something different, contemporary in style and colors and easy to wear. Something we hope you’ll like and enjoy.

As promised, the Makkaan Men’s collection will be released in a couple of weeks for you to shop for sunny days – The Dashiki tops, along with colorful traditional and modern T-shirts, sweatshirts, pants and shorts will be on our shelves, along with leather sandals available for a grab. They are ideal for everyday life, strolls on the beach, or cool afternoons, and will nicely complement your wardrobe.

In the Yoruba culture, different colors of dashikis represent various events and shades of emotions. History reminds us that “the traditionally white or purple dashikis were worn by grooms on their wedding day.” The purple was “the color of African royalty.” Blue dashikis symbolized peace, harmony, and love.
